We all love a good movie from time to time. Settling down with the significant other, the  whole family or sinking in to the couch for one on your own. It’s one of the best escapes — getting lost in a film.

Around the 98five Studio

With the forecast looking gloomy, Jeziel decided to wander around the 98five office asking everyone what their favourite movie was. The results were pretty varied. From ad-man Connor, who loved high octane action flicks, to Bernie in accounts who can weep to Terms of Endearment for hours.

Check out the answers from everyone:

You, the 98five listeners

Wanting a broader view, Jeziel opened it to the listeners. Here’s some of the responses:

“Saving private Ryan, Schindler’s list, Beneath Hill 60 — a must see for all Australians,” Nico

“Rambo First Blood if alone, Doctor Zhivago with my wife,” Duncan

“Lord of the Rings the extended version,” Daniel

“Any romance. While You Were Sleeping or if climate change comes up I will watch The Day After Tomorrow,”  Tracey

Looking deeper into the important issue, we discovered a list of some celebrities’ favourite movies:

Harrison Ford: To Kill a Mockingbird

Mick Jagger: Apocalypse Now

Bill Gates: Ordinary People

Prince William: The Italian Job

Lady Gaga: Rocky

Natalie Portman: Dirty Dancing

Rihanna: Napoleon Dynamite
