When has a good deed gone bad?
Let me tell you how this question came about. Earlier this week Jeziel was at home with his lovely wife Kim and she decided to jump in the shower. As she does, off to freshen up, and Jeziel realised he hadn’t mopped the floors in a while.
“Kim loves the floors to be super, super clean. If I ever want to get into the good books with her, that’s how I do it.”
Jeziel hates mopping the floor, but it’s not about him. So he decided that while Kim was in the shower, he’d do a good deed and run the mop around the house.
“Keep in mind, I haven’t washed the floors in like 3 or 4 weeks. So I get to our bedroom and notice our mirror. There is a lot of dust sitting on the glass. So I think to myself, we never clean this thing. I’ve got a bucket of stuff that kills 99.9% of germs. I have a clean mop, why not, I’ll mop the mirror.”
After that Jeziel didn’t think anything of it and finished up the chore. A few minutes later Kim is out of the shower and getting changed. She noticed the mopped floors and was very impressed, she even told Jeziel that “the floor feels amazing.” But then two minutes later, from a few rooms away Jeziel hears Kim saying “Jeziel, what have you done? Did you mop the mirror?”
Little did Jeziel know that the mop would leave streaks all over the mirror, something that Kim noticed immediately. So Jeziel had his two minutes of glory but for the rest of the night, Kim was laughing and questioning his sanity.
