Each week Pieta Sharpe from Perth Happenings joins Mel and Jeziel to chat about some awesome events taking place around our lovely city. Here’s what’s happening this weekend:

Made-It Markets

Quality handmade-only market stalls set in a stunning bush land setting. Made-It markets is a carefully curated market, we select the best of WA’s handmade products so you can find everything in one place! Also attending are more than 10 of Perth’s best food trucks, bringing you international cuisine and refreshments. Add in lots of free entertainment for the family like bubbles, giant games, face painting and live music, and you have an amazing day out! Also on offer at reasonable prices are an animal farm, go-kart rides, pony rides and more. And they’re completely dog friendly too!

Springtime at Araluen

It’s Yates Springtime at Araluen Festival. Come to the Park to discover Perth’s biggest display of Tulips and other Springtime bulbs. In 2018 they have over 145,000 Tulips throughout the Park. While exploring the winding pathways prepare to be delighted by their internationally recognised Camellias adding to the massed plantings of colour. The Magnolias will also be in full bloom with gorgeous colours and scents captivating you on your journey.

Celebrate Lake Claremont

Promote sustainability with the Celebrate Lake Claremont event. There are plenty of activities, games, workshops and demonstrations for adults and children alike

– Learn about the wonderful world of native bees in our bee workshop.
– Kids are invited to make their own awesome wood creation with ‘The Joys of Wood’.
– Get down and dirty with our worm farm workshop.
