Every week Bec and Jeziel share an interesting fact they recently learnt. Today I learnt…

The longest fence in the world is Australia’s dingo fence.

At 5,531km the dingo fence stretches from eastern Queensland to the South Australian coastline. It was built in the late 1800s to keep dingoes out of the southeast part of the country, where they had been exterminated. This helped to protect crops and sheep.

Pope Francis married two flight attendants on a plane during a trip to Chile.

The couple had been married in 2010, but weren’t able to have a church service due to an earthquake. The couple told Pope Francis that they are married, have two children and would love to receive his blessing.  “All of a sudden he asked us if we were married by the church too. We are not married by the church because the 2010 earthquake happened on the day we got married. He liked us and he asked ‘Do you want me to marry you?”
