Going for a bike ride is a lovely, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. The wind in your face, the sights and sounds of nature all around. Pleasantness in its purest form. However, what if you went for a 150-200km bike ride EVERY DAY for a month?
Well that probably wouldn’t be quite as relaxing, but a team of 24 riders will be doing it nonetheless. The dedicated cyclists will be completing the Ride for Compassion, a grueling 4000km ride from Perth to Newcastle over 28 days. And it’s not just a case of doing it because they feel like it. These heroes are riding to raise money for vulnerable children worldwide. And one of these legends is Dave Francis who dropped by the studio to talk about the preparation and motivation for the ride (and also bring a big bag of chocolate!)
