Some some underprivileged kids overseas, Christmas isn’t the joyous time of year that it is for us. Luckily, organisations like Operation Christmas Child have got them covered.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It partners with local churches in developing nations to reach out to children by providing gift-filled shoeboxes and most importantly, bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

However, the shoeboxes need to begin their lives somewhere. And for those living in WA, that place is usually the Operation Christmas Child warehouse in Osborne Park. A team of dedicated volunteers gather here to receive, pack, check and ship the boxes all over the world. Therefore, the warehouse is a veritable hive of activity at this time of year.

Mark Maunder is the man in charge of the Perth operation. He joined Mel and Jeziel on Drive to discuss how it all comes together, shared an update, and even more.
