Should students still learn their times tables?
Research shows that kids know their times tables by heart by 9-years-old. If they don’t know their times tables they may struggle in high school and beyond. Craig Hunter from Rehoboth Christian College joined Lockie to tell us more. “It’s setting them up for a whole lot of learning and maths.”
You can help your child learn their times tables by sticking a poster to the back of the toilet door, side of their bed, in the car or use songs and flash cards to help them memories. Use rewards and encouragement to keep them motivated.
