98five loves to get out into our community, or engage with local charities working around the world, to ensure people are loved and have an opportunity to hear the positive message of hope in Jesus! We can only do this thanks to our amazing 98five family, who donate sacrificially throughout the year to support the work we do.

How we’ve made an impact

During the past financial year we’ve been pleased to lead or actively participate in the following initiatives. That have made a difference to thousands of people here in Perth and around the world!

• Heart for the Homeless – 98five listeners donated over 9000 items to help those sleeping rough in our community. Including 508 sleeping bags, 755 pairs of socks, 1353 toothbrushes and 1291 razors

• Miracles Day – 98five listeners donated 2331 sight saving surgeries to people living in poverty

• Watering Day – 98five listeners provided donations to build 16 water wells in Africa. Which provided clean, safe drinking water for life to 40,062 people!

• Christmas giveaways – over 150 prizes were given away, including $500 food hampers for three families in need each

• Devotionals – 443 people receive our daily Lifewords devotional straight to their inbox

• Prayer – 98five staff and volunteers have personally responded to and prayed for 117 people who requested prayer

• Fuel – 1675 litres of fuel given away through our Caller of the Week prize

• Free Coffee Fridays – Approximately 268 coffees given away as part of five events at local schools and cafes, in partnership with Youthcare

• Valuable life and parenting advice given with 625 views of our Father’s Day Facebook panel and 407 views of our Mother’s Day Facebook panel

• Countless listeners impacted by weekly guests giving advice on parenting, relationships, pets, legal, gardening and a range of other issues

Through the faithful partnership of people like you, we’ve also been able to reach more than 250,000 listeners and more than 240,000 website and social media viewers each month with the hope of Jesus; through uplifting on-air music and programs, faith-building devotionals, engaging community events, and encouraging online content.
