After attending Hillsong Conference for many years, last week was the first time Scott Morrison was asked up on stage to pray.

At the opening night to 21,000 attendees ScoMo declared “Our nation needs more prayer!”

“That’s what we all need. That’s what our country needs. That’s what our nation needs. That’s what we’re here to do as Christians. Not here to judge. Not here to lecture. Just here to show the amazing love of God.”

He went on to pray for veterans doing it tough; young people who are considering suicide; those facing the challenges of middle-age; remote Indigenous communities; people with disabilities; and for rain that would break the drought.

Our Prime Minister is in the process of writing a religious freedom bill. He took the opportunity at Hillsong Conference to say that he believes religious freedoms will be secured for Christians.
