We hear a lot these days about screen time and video games. Is there too much? Is there too little? Timothy Young from Scitech joined Mel and Jeziel to discuss some surprising benefits.

While many people write off video games as mind numbing time wasters, there are quite a few benefits to spending a little time on them. Many games are designed with problem solving in mind, and make use of innovate methods to activate and train your brain. Moreover, many games can be considered virtual versions of real life tactile learning games. Why risk stepping on a lost Lego when you could sit your kid in front of Minecraft for an hour?

If all this sounds a bit simplified, worry not, because Tim from Scitech is a veritable science wrangler (no seriously, that’s his job title) and he explains everything a whole lot better. Check out the podcast below to hear all about gamification, learning and video games.
