Sally Hewitt, from Ageing Gratefully, joined Mike to impart her last bit of wisdom for 2021.

They recapped some of the major topics from the year. Such as Lessons from Lockdown, Gratitude as Self-Care, Being Grateful, Rethinking Retirement, Resilience and Living Intentionally.

The year has gone by so quickly and now we are counting down to Christmas! Although it is an exciting time for many, but it can also be difficult. For some it might be the first Christmas after a loved one has passed or they might have lost their job. Travel restrictions are also stopping people from being reunited with their family. But Sally believes it is important to acknowledge those feelings.

“An occasion like Christmas can be very challenging, I think it’s important to acknowledge that and I also think it’s important for the people who feel like that to acknowledge it for themselves: that it’s ok to feel sad or have those less than joyous feelings.
