Western Australia’s most popular TV Personality, Rick Ardon joined us for Radiothon!

Rick Ardon shared that he values his faith. “My faith is important because I go to the Star Of The Sea the Church in Cottesloe. It’s wonderful because it resets my week. You have a busy week, you are exposed to social media and all of that, but when you escape that and hear a positive message it’s just wonderful. You come away with a deep sense of contentment.”

But as a news anchor on Channel Seven, he doesn’t often get to speak about his faith openly. “Our job is to tell people what is going on, not express our personal opinions. But my personal faith is important to me, in this modern age of materialism and a world that is divided.”

At 98five, he can share his beliefs and faith. “Without 98five in the community, we would be exposed to not as much positivity. A lot of different platforms have sarcastic humour, materialism, worshipping false idols. That’s why I am so delighted to be here every year because you guys are the ones that lay out the groundwork for other people to follow a message of being content.”

“It’s important for all of us to be a part of mankind, to help our fellow human beings, and that involves giving to 98five. Collectively we can make a difference and this community radio station can continue the good work we need so much in these modern times.”
