Listen to Michelle’s story of her own pregnancy journey and the services that Pregnancy Problem House offers.

As a 22 year old, Michelle had been married for only 8 weeks. She was in America, a long way from home, a uni student, study hard, working at McDonald’s with her husband and just found out she was pregnant. Even though she was a responsible young adult she felt like this was not the right time to bring a child into the world. She was embarrassed that as a new mum she would still be studying and working in fast food with little money. They thought you know what we can make this work.

Then, when their first daughter was 6 months old, their second child was on his way. Michelle shares about the dark place she found herself in, wrestling with the beast of fear and the guilt of from feeling she did not want to be pregnant.

All she wanted was someone to be kind to her, not to judge her and to assure her, her fears were normal. That is how she reconnected with the organisation her father started 30 years ago, Pregnancy Problem House.

Michelle joins Nick, hosting the Summer Mornings show, to share about the services Pregnancy Problem House offers.
