What’s $32 to an Australian?

Dinner out or a couple of pizzas in? A movie ticket and snacks? One music lesson for your child? Some pet food? Half a tank of fuel? A round of coffees for colleagues — or yourself and a colleague for Perth residents ;)…

To someone in a developing country, who is vision impaired or blind, $32 is all it takes to give them their sight back through a simple 12-minute operation.

CBM Australia work with local doctors in many countries around the world to make these miracles happen for the 20 million people (almost the population of Australia) who live with cataracts!

Cataract is the world’s leading cause of blindness, and 90 per cent of all people with vision impairment live in developing countries, but it’s also the most easily treatable.

Tomorrow is 98five’s Miracles Day with CBM but YOU can make a miracle happen right now.
