Broadcasting live from a car 98five’s Brekky with Kirste and Morro travelled through the streets of Perth delivering flowers to some worthy Perth mums.

From the studios in Como to Mount Pleasant, Kardinya, Parkwood and more Kirste and Morro celebrated some mums nominated through 98five’s Mum-Faming competition.

“My favourite part of this morning for brekky was the opportunity to see some amazing mums being celebrated for a whole different range of things,” says Brekky co-host Kirste Oates.

“Witnessing people verbalising what they appreciate about another, shared a lot of happy tears and beautiful meaningful moments.”

Each mum received a bouquet of flowers from Balshaw’s Florist with Queens Park mum Michelle also winning a beautiful watch from Creations Jewellery Fremantle valued at $425.

Broadcasting the brekky show whilst navigating through traffic was no easy technical feat.

“There is a reason we’re probably the only show in Oz broadcasting from a moving vehicle and that’s because one, basically we’re crazy and have a crazy team that are willing to have a crack,” says Brekky co-host Paul ‘Morro’ Morrison.

“Two, we love our 98five family and the chance to see the mums and families that make our station what it is means – it’s totally worth getting into the suburbs to see their smiles and beautiful families. It was the kind of brekky show that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

The fun doesn’t stop there. The Drive show with Mel and Jeziel will be hitting the streets too this afternoon to deliver flowers and a gold watch to some more unsuspecting mums.
