After yesterdays luke warm attempt to cook eggs the drive team got into the spirit of Shrove Tuesday and attempted to cook pancakes in the car park.

The temperature touched 41° earlier this afternoon so producer Mike was sent out early to start the cooking proceedings. We’ve even supplied a How to cook pancakes in the car park guide for you to try at home.

Step 1: Prepare your pancake mix. Add water or make your mix the old fashioned way –  A cup of self raising flour, 2 eggs, A cup of milk and a tea spoon of sugar. Add raspberries for extra flavour.

Step 2: Pre heat your car roof to erm… whatever the temperature is outside and add cooking oil to the baking tray.

Step 3: Pour your mix onto the tray.

Step 4: Leave to cook for around 2 hours. Alert your work collegues that afternoon tea is nearly ready.

After a couple of hours under the Perth sun the pancakes should turn out like this.

But in reality, this is how our car park pancakes turned out.

Oh dear. The mixture has been out there for 2 hours and barely cooked. So, who’s up for semi cooked pancake mix? Yummy.
