Watch the whole conversation Brekky had with Shannon.

Shannon joins The Brekky Show every Wednesday morning at 8am as our resident Mum Lyfe correspondent! She’s here to share the good, the bad and the ugly as she parents her 3 sons with her hubby Dave.

You know those days where you only just manage to roll out of bed? Maybe you were up all night dealing with kids … or having a Netflix marathon. Well, the other day Shannon was having one of those barely-functioning-mornings. She could hardly keep her eyes open while she stumbled into the bathroom. She washed her faced, brushed her teeth and when she put the toothbrush down again she noticed … she had used her husband’s toothbrush.

She had forgotten to swap the head over on the electric toothbrush before she used it!!

Shannon was absolutely repulsed with herself. So she confessed to her hubby Dave and she couldn’t believe his response. He didn’t care at all. So Shannon got to thinking “Maybe other people are ok with sharing that kind of stuff?”

Corey chimed into to say he didn’t see anything wrong with it, before Mike butted in and said “no, no, no I’m dry wretching!”

Shannon went on the explain that she’s happy to share his deodorant but a toothbrush is too much. “If I found out he was regularly using mine without my knowledge – I’ll become a single mum!” she laughed. Even when Kirste likened this situation to taking a bite of the same food, sharing a spoon or kissing your partner, Shannon wouldn’t budge. She knows her boundaries and she’s sticking to them.

So Shannon wants to know, what is ok to share within a family?

Kirste knows a couple that shares a Facebook profile. While Corey admits he shares jocks with his dad when he runs out of laundry! We got a call from young Belle from Beaconsfield dobbed her brother in. He eats lollies that his friends have sucked on! “They tried the lollies, sucked on them, spat them out and gave them to my brother – and he ate them…”
