41% of Australians regularly work from home

Polls ApartThe Australian Bureau of Statistics have measured the number of people working from home since the 1970s. But the rates increased dramatically since 2020.

As many employees realised the benefits of working from home during the pandemic in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The proportion of people who worked from home, due to flexible working arrangements, increased from 13% in 2015 to 22% in 2021.

The number of people working from home increased from 32% in 2019 to 41% in 2022. The majority includes managers and professionals compared to other occupations. Bec decided to double-check these stats by asking listeners if they regularly work from home. Out of 98five listeners, 46% regularly work from home!
