This week Rory Shiner, from Providence Church, shared a common phrase:

“Is this a problem to be solved or tension to be managed?”

Things like your kids misbehaving, forgetting to pay the electricity bill or your car not working are problems. Other things are tensions, “should I love my wife or my children? Should I be in prayer or active in the world? I don’t want to live a life where I don’t feel the tension between loving my wife or my children.”
