Feeling thirsty? If the answer is yes, you’re already dehydrated!
Mel (cheekily) reminded the family there’s fresh, clean water running through our taps and called for us to drink up! (although she would not endorse Mike’s childhood antics of drinking out of the garden hose!).
When our body is dehydrated it tries to compensate, effecting our energy levels, muscles and memory.
Mel’s tips to stay hydrated (other than drinking water):
- Drinks with good quality electrolytes eg. Coconut Water. Not sport bottles full of sugar.
- Magnesium: Over 300 of our cellular functions require it. Helps rebuild our muscles, manage stress, increase energy levels.
- CoQ10: Essential for Energy Production and managing fatigue. Even helps balance cholesterol.
- B Vitamins: Increase energy levels, brain function and cell metabolism. Helps prevent infection.
Water wasn’t the only thing flowing in the studio! The text line was flooded with a range of health questions from the family! Mel covered questions on Glue Ear, Tennis Elbow and weight-loss whilst breast feeding.
