Jeziel has been living in his house for a year and half. Every week they’ve been getting mail from the previous owners.
“It’s everything its the government its the bank…I’ve literally had to return parcels!” They’ve just been returning everything back to the sender but are getting sick and tired of it. This week they received a letter from the bank with a check for $35, but it didn’t specify who it was for. “It said something like we stuffed up the transaction…We owe you credit of $35..It looks SO legit!” So Bec and Jeziel wanted to know how do you deal with other people’s mail.
Marissa has been receiving mail from her neighbours across the street. “I have to walk across and give it back to them. They know me quite well now.” Helen has also been receiving previous owners mail for over a year. “Now I just bin it or keep it.”
Carolyn received mail for the previous owner for years. She would usually throw it away but if it looked important she returned it to the sender. But she had enough when she received another letter 12 years later. So she sent a return to sender with a very big note added to the envelope. “This person hasn’t lived here for over 12 years – update you data base!” She hasn’t had any more since.
