Another attack: where is God in this unfair world?

Witnessing more sad news of another senseless attack around the world — this time in Las Vegas where the death toll has risen to 59 people with hundreds injured, resulting in the worst mass shooting in US history — has again got many shaking their heads at how can they horrors keep happening?

Especially in a world with a loving God?

Regular Mornings guest Rob Furlong tried to unpack the unfolding events with Mike including asking the tough faith questions.

Mike: Where is the loving God in this unfair world, in this unfair situation that we’re looking at right now in Las Vegas?

Rob: It’s a good question to ask, Mike, and I’m sure a lot of our family listening in this morning if not all of them are asking the same question.

For me, personally, when I try to work through this stuff, when I look at that question, ‘if God is loving, why doesn’t he do something, why doesn’t he step into an unfair world?’, something that has come home to me, that has helped me to think through, I have been reminded lately that God has given us the capacity of choice…
