No matter what the age or the technology, there is a way to deal with boundaries that doesn’t change.
Graham shares about when he was young the ‘new tech’ was television and compares his upbringing with TV with his wife’s experiences. When Gay (graham’s wife) got TV, there was no family discussion on how to make a framework of what and when to watch.
When Gay was a teen, she would just sit and watch anything, there was no framework built to discuss and think about what she chose to watch.
So we must ask ourselves ‘are we as parents, having those age appropriate conversations about what is OK and whats NOT OK on how they are choosing how to use technology. This principle can be applied to any age or any form of technology, the principle doesn’t change.
