On most social media platforms, people are depicted as living their dream life.

They have perfect relationships, endless holidays, delicious plates of food, and successful businesses. Social media has become a highlight reel of only the good; it rarely portrays what is truly going on. Renee Giarrusso a communication leadership and marketing expert joined Mike to talk about ‘comparison syndrome’.

The syndrome sees people compare their own ‘real’ lives with others’ highlight reels, which is a natural human reaction. ‘Comparisonitis’ is all around us and the best way to combat it is to focus on your strengths, flip the script, celebrate others, make a start on something you’ve been putting off, and above all remember no-one is you.
