The US Masters Golf was on over the weekend and while golf aficionado’s will be remembering this year’s winner of the coveted green jacket, most of us will probably be talking about Louis Ooshuizen, the South African player who got an incredible hole-in-one during the tournament on the par 3 16th hole.
His perfectly struck shot landed comfortably on the green, before rolling around to the left, ricocheting off playing partner J.B. Holmes’ ball and sending his own ball into the hole. Mind you, Oosthuizen’s was actually the third ace at the 16th on the final day. Both Shane Lowry and Davis Love the 3rd made holes-in-one earlier, and to think, this was during a difficult tournament where just to make par was always going to be hard! Well done Louis. I’ll be trying to emulate his effort sometime this week!
