Mike and Rach chat about a new parenting hack on The Summer Brekky Show.
Are you a parent of a toddler? Listen up, this one is for you!
We all know it can be stressful grocery shopping with a little tyke in tow. They either want to touch everything or wriggle out of their seat.
So how do you entertain them? Maybe you let them play games on your phone or keep them busy with snacks… only to have them drop the food within a few minutes.
Well, one mum has shared a hack to the ‘Kmart Mums Australia’ group on Facebook that is a game-changer. All she needs is an extra-large ice cube tray and pram clips to keep her “little one happy the entire trip.” With these two items, she creates a smorgasbord of snacks, full of cereals and fruits to keep her child occupied!
“When snacks are life, we shop with a whole buffet,” she wrote. “I wanted to come up with a way that he could actually eat his snacks (so they’d keep him busy and happy longer) without spilling them and still have his independence.”
“Genius! I’m the mum that ends up taking open packets of strawberries to the cash register cos my kid wanted snacks on the shop!” wrote one Facebook user.
