Expressing our positive emotion is something we all need to do more of, we’re all good at expressing our negative emotion. Jodii Maquire from Think! Performance Psychology shares on how we can work on our emotional resilience. If we say ‘i love you’ with meaning, we can never say it enough.
It’s true that some people have a hard time saying that phrase, so Jodii gives us some advice on how we can work our way up to it.
“If you’re having trouble saying i love you try something like ‘i like the way you…’ or ‘i love how you did this…’ start introducing that positive vocabulary, that love language.”
We can develop emotional awareness by talking about our emotions (positive and negative). Persevere with the positive emotion, recognise when someone makes you feel happy or loved and express that to them.
