How long did you have it, before you broke it?

Yesterday Mike and his friends decided to embrace the beautiful weather we had yesterday and get together for a BBQ. It was just a casual get together, very relaxed, a really nice time. Until one of his friends arrived and turned up the excitement level. Mike decided she shall remain nameless as she may have been tuning into The Brekky Show this morning when Mike told the story!

So this friend had arrived at the BBQ with a brand new gadget. It was a round table, about a foot and a half in diameter. “Beautifully finished timber” Mike added. It had little groves around the edge to hold glasses and underneath the table, it had a special compartment to hold cheese knives. It was nice and compact, all you do is extend the leg and dig it into the ground and there you go, you have a perfectly portable table.

“She was so excited right and she was putting it together for the very first time and everyone had hovered around to watch. But she hadn’t screwed the leg in as tight as necessary. So as she tried to push it into the ground, what do you think happened, she broke it –  it snapped off!” Mike told us.

Which got Mike thinking, how often does that happen? You’ve just bought something and you broke it – have you done that? Mike would love to hear your stories! Text us, email us or send us a message on socials.
