Shannon is back!
Although she is missing her time in Melbourne, she was excited to be reunited with Kirste and Dan. “I loved every minute of it and it was interesting coming back into the fold of the family.” She was also excited to see her family and give them lots of cuddles. But her oldest son was indifferent
“He just looks at me with this death stare. I hadn’t seen him for 5 weeks. Then he goes why are you standing outside the car? I go to cuddle him and he was like why are you touching me!”
So Shannon wanted to know how do your teenage children show affection? As a mum of 2 teenage boys, Teagan could relate. “I get grunted at all the time. I dare not leave the car at the car park.” But they will give her a pat on the head or a kiss on the forehead. Caroline’s teenage son gave her hug vouchers for Mother’s Day. “He doesn’t like to be hugged and I absolutely love it. Isn’t that sad?” Andrew shared the perfect analogy: “9 year-olds are puppies teens are cats. Cat lovers will understand.”
