Emily Dickinson stopped by the studio to shed some light on how we can improve our self belief. Emily is an executive couch from Novus Global and she said a lot of people especially women can suffer from self doubt. But we need to change our mindsets and replace that self doubt with self love.

There is an Italian neuro physiologist, Andrew Demossia, who has taught us that we have somatic markers in our brains that become barriers for us. And WE are the ones who make those barriers up. Our beliefs in ourselves can make or break us. We are our own barriers.

“Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right”

A belief is just a thought that we have over and over but if we are “transformed by the renewing of our mind” we are able to change our mindset. But how do we change our mindsets? Can it be that easy? Emily gave us some good tips.

When we built up our own barriers we can just as easily break them down as well. A good question to ask is, “would you talk to someone the way you talk to yourself?”, if not then you should reevaluate your thinking. You have the power to change your thinking!
