Reading Time: < 1 minute

Pastor Phil Ayres from Kingdomcity, joined Bec and Jeziel to share his advice on growing strong marriages.

On average couples spend about 2.5 hours together each day. This includes child care, eating meals and watching TV. But for a healthy marriage quality is better than quantity. “You can spend a lot of time with someone but basically never get to know them.”

How to ensure quality time

  1. Agree to be present: Make sure that when you are with your spouse you are focused and attentive. Don’t think about work or other priorities.
  2. Allocate media and social media zones: Don’t let your bedroom become a workspace where two people are disconnected.
  3. Work together as a team: Use mundane household chores, like grocery shopping, as an opportunity to spend time together.
