The ever popular bushy beard appears to be waning in popularity recently, but that could all change in the next few months.

Scientists has reason to believe that the bacteria found in your unkempt facial features might just hold the solution to drug-resistant infections that are unable to be fought by antibiotics and modern medicine.

According to Dr. Adam Roberts from University College London:

“…we found, quite surprisingly, that the beard isolates were quite capable of killing the indicator strain that we have; showing that they actually produce antibiotics themselves.”

Amazingly, beards now are not on the way out, but rather, on the way in, and could help you in a long and healthy existence in life!

Will women’s beards become a thing now?
