Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to encourage children to spend time outdoors.
Kath Healy, from Nature Play WA, joined Kirste and Dan to tell us more. Each year, teachers take children outdoors to learn and play.
This is the fifth year Nature Play WA has led the campaign in Australia, and over 1 million kids and over 9000 educators take part. “It shows how important being outdoors is for our mental health, our physical health, and academic skills of kids. It helps them grow and learn in ways that sitting inside a classroom can not do.”
Outdoor Classroom day is on the 4th November, you can find more information here. Are you excited to spend time outdoors? Let us know by texting or messaging us on socials. Listen to the full chat below!
