Jeziel shared some good news stories that will make you smile. This week he talked about how drones, “well done whoever invented drones you are changing our world.”
A defibrillator delivered by drone, helped save a Swedish man’s life. The 71-year-old man experienced a cardiac arrest while shovelling snow. A doctor saw the man collapsed in his driveway and rushed to help. “The man had no pulse, so I started doing CPR while asking another bystander to call 112.” A defibrillator arrived in 3 minutes and allowed the doctor to perform life saving measures before the ambulance arrived.
Fortunately, the man has a made a full recovery. ““I can’t put into words how thankful I am to this new technology and the speedy delivery of the defibrillator. If it wasn’t for the drone I probably wouldn’t be here.” This is an example of Everdrone’s Emergency Medical Aerial Delivery service. Which allows emergency dispatchers to send a drone carrying the device to the caller’s home. A person experiencing a cardiac arrest needs help within 10 minutes in order to survive, this speeds up the life saving process.
A Canadian company aims to regrow the world’s forest using drones.. The Toronto start up ‘Flash Forest’, aims to plant 1 billion trees by 2028. By using a contraption on the drone shoots the seed into the ground, they can plant 40 000 trees a day!
