Bec and Jeziel had a chat with Geoff Woodward from Metro Church for midweek motivation. This week we are talking about hope and resilience.

“Everyone needs hope and resilience, no matter what happens” – Geoff Woodward

There are three things we need to know about hope:

  1. Hope is not a static thing. You have to intentionally do things in your life to feed it. You have to build your hope muscle. You can’t not go to the gym and expect to build muscles.
  2. If you want to build hope you have to become a person of gratitude. You have to be a grateful person. Try and find things you can be grateful for and thank God for those.
  3. And the last one is, we got to have perspective. It makes all the difference whether you are a person who looks at the future well or whether you look at it in despair.
