The Resource Recovery Group and the Western Metropolitan Regional Council collaborated to create the GREAT Games education materials.

This will help to communicate positive waste behaviours to the community, in a fun and engaging way. Laura Monisse, from Western Metropolitan Regional Council, joined Mike to tell us more. Between the two regional councils, the GREAT Games are currently reaching over 172,000 residents and are available to 63 schools.

It is a fabulously unique way to engage young people with the messages of gifting, recycling, earth-cycling, and taking items to be safely disposed of or recycled as we move towards a more sustainable society. There is also the Responsible Recycler Game, the Excellent Earthcycler Game, the Awesome Avoider Game, and so it goes on. As we all know, it is important to engage our youth to educate them, and this is what the GREAT Games strive to achieve.

Would your kids be excited to try out these games? Let us know your thoughts by texting or messaging us on socials. Listen to the full chat below!
