If you don’t know Mel from The Drive Show, here’s one quick fact: she LOVES animals. She loves animals so much so wants to share it with the family. So once a week she shares one of her favourite animal videos.

Mel & her dog Harlem reunite after he got lost

This Furry Tails hits particularly close to home for Mel after yesterday’s adventure.

Yesterday around 8 am Mel’s dog Harlem got out. He bolted from home so Mel and her sister spent all morning driving around looking for him. Mel was obviously upset and worried when she called the rest of the team at work and told us the news. So Jeziel made a special announcement on-air. Shortly after we got a call from Chloe who had seen him in Herne Hill. Then at about 11 am we got a call from Nadine who had heard the announcements on the radio, spotted Harlem on the road and picked him up!

Harlem is totally unhurt, back safely in Mel’s arms! (What a blessing it is to have a family like you.)

There’s no wonder why this story has stirred up Mel’s emotions a bit more than usual.

In the Furry Tails below, Rebecca returns home to visit her family after working away in Europe for 2 years. I’m sure Rebecca missed her family and their dog, but it’s safe to say their schnauzer Casey missed her more!

Casey runs up to Rebecca, jumps on her and tries to smother her in kisses all while making a very high pitched whining noise. The excitement must have been too much for the 9-year-old dog because she wobbles a little before fainting! She only passes out for a second or so before she’s upright again. Imagine being so excited to see your family that you literally pass out!

The family took Casey to the vet to get her all checked out, and the vet gave her the healthy a-ok.
