A ‘fin’tastic story about a wheelchair for fish

Technology is incredible these days. Limbs can be transplanted, sight can be restored, and a defective fish can be brought back to swimming order with some inventive engineering.

In what is ofishally (yes, we went there) the cutest story of the week, a goldfish with a defective swim bladder was brought into a local pets store where an employee named Derek had a brainwave.

Using a cunning system of pipes and foam, he built a mini ‘wheelchair’ to help the fish float on. Brilliant.

Once Derek was fin-ished with his miniature scale wheelchair, the goldfish cod‘n’t believe its luck. It’s fair to say that once the sturgeon had finished his procedure, Fishy probably felt positively prawn again with his new wheels.
