On average, one woman a week in Australia is killed by a current or former partner.

This alarming statistic led to the creation of Preventing Violence Against Women (PVAW), a WA-based charity with the vision to be the organisation of choice within Western Australia for those seeking practical strategies and solutions to prevent violence against women.

Founder of PVAW Sandy Taylor joined Mike in the studio to discuss the organisation, as well as their upcoming event, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

With all proceeds going to White Ribbon, the walk takes place on Sunday 26 March and aims to raise funds and awareness of this sensitive issue.

Listen to our podcast below or head to the PVAW website to find out all the details.
