It is with bitter-sweet feelings we must announce this is Mike’s last week on air. We’re sad to see Mike and his “how hard can it be?” attitude go, but if we know Mike, we know something sensational is around the corner. We know this won’t be the last we see or hear of him.
Here are a few words he wanted to share with you all:
Well the last 6 months have been a mix of fun, stretching and rewarding with lots going on, including Jayne and I both running as candidates in the Federal Election. Over the years I have done a variety of different things and have always made decisions prayerfully. I have tried to follow God’s call in everything I do, often when it doesn’t make sense. We are living in some interesting and challenging times and I feel now more than ever to tune in to what God is saying personally.I believe God has given us all different and unique gifts to influence our community for the better and build his kingdom. With more years behind me than in front of me, I have a sense of urgency to follow God’s call. I believe God is saying to take a break and seek Me. Just like it says in Matthew 6: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Mike’s last day on air and at 98five will be this Friday. So, make sure you tune into The Weekdays Show all week, join in the conversation, text in and laugh at his jokes while you can!
