It’s time to bust out your leg warmers because the international sensation Fame The Musical is coming to Crown Theatre this April!

Taylah Small is an accomplished ballet dancer and plays the role of Iris Kelly. She joined Bec and Jeziel to tell us more about the show. A typical day in her life involves rehearsals from 9 am – 4 pm. “I would go straight from rehearsals to teaching ballet. It’s just a normal day for me.” Taylah grew up in Perth but has lived in Sydney for the past 3 years. But when her friend told her about auditions for the musical she was excited to return. ” I made sure I could get into Perth and quarantine. I did most of the audition online. The rest is history and here I am back home.”

The story follows the journey of students at a performing arts school. They must face their own struggles, fears and triumphs in their search for fame. On top of homework, heartbreak and rejection. “Coming from a dance background I love the big dance numbers. There are so many different styles of dance you get to see a bit of everything.”

You can watch Fame the musical in Crown Theatre from the 16th of April! Will you be going? Let us know your thoughts by texting or messaging us on socials. Listen to the full chat below!
