Each week Kelley, from the Foxglove Project, joins Mike to talk to ordinary people who make an extraordinary impact in our community. This week they talked to Michael Mesiti, Co-Founder of House of Hope Africa.Everyday Impact

Michael and his wife Christine, sold their house in Perth and moved across the globe to Zambia. Their vision is to see vulnerable families living in impoverished communities, equipped and empowered to break the poverty cycle impacting their lives and future.

“House of hope is an organisation that is a safe place. It is a hub on the ground for people who are the most vulnerable. We run education programs that include feeding because you can’t educate a starving, sick child. The full family gets medical support as well.”

Utilising a strength based focus, House of Hope Africa builds solid foundations in each community it is working with. Resulting in the successful implementation of a number of programs helping to assist people to be released from the effects of poverty.
