Each week Kelley, from the Foxglove Project, joins Mike to talk to ordinary people who are make an extraordinary impact in our community. This week they talked to Adam Przytula from Armed for Life.Armed for Life

For 10 years, Armed for Life has been running sessions and programs about resilience, mental health, well being and self esteem. Adam primarily works with students and aims to equip them with the skills to develop resilience and manage their well being and mental health.

Adam’s passion behind this project, started with his negative school experience. Severe bullying had a terrible impact on his mental health. He struggled with anxiety and depression before he even understood what it was. “That’s what I talk about in schools. Don’t use the coping mechanisms, but actually deal with the issues that are going on. Make sure you’re talking with someone about the stuff that you’re struggling with.”
