Every week our food, beverage and events guru Miki Knight joins us to give us some hot tips on weekend goings on.
Of course the biggest thing on this weekend is the Federal Election, but once you’ve cast your vote and wolfed down a democracy sausage, head along to one (or all) of these great events.
Whether you own a dog or not, the Million Paws Walk is a great day out for anyone. Join over 8000 dogs (and their owners) at Sir James Mitchell park, and raise money for animals in need. the event is on from 8:30am to 3:30pm, but make sure you book your ticket online to avoid missing out!
If walking is a little too pedestrian for you, then you’l wanna check out the HBF run for a reason. In fact, you’ll want to sprint, because entries close TONIGHT. If you’re not keen on the actual running aspect, there’s plenty of cafes along the way to have some brekky and cheer on the runners!
Just when you thought market season was over, SURPRISE! The Scarborough Sunset Markets are back with the Winter Edition. All the classic market staples are there, but with a winter twist. you can pick up winter clothes like beanies and gloves, and there’s plenty of nice warm food. And, if that’s not enough, there’s also a banya. Now, in the unlikely event you’re not familiar with a banya, it’s a traditional Russian sauna!
