West Coast Eagles defeated the Fremantle Dockers by 13 points, 10.9. 69 to 7.14. 56 in Derby 49 in front of a record crowd 58,219 at Optus Stadium.

The victory makes it eight Western Derbies in a row to the Eagles and takes the overall ledger to 29-20 in West Coast’s favour.

In his second game back Andrew Gaff collected another 35 disposals. Brad Sheppard was outstanding in defence with 27 disposals going at 100% efficiency, while skipper Shannon Hurn collected 32 disposals and won his 3rd Glendinning-Allan Medal.

In the absence of skipper Nat Fyfe. Dockers veteran David Mundy 36 possessions was huge at the coalface and comfortably Freo’s best player

Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling both kicked 3 goals each and have now have won 16 straight games when playing together.

In absence of Mark Lecras, Jack Petruccelle kicked 2 goals and continues his impressive start to the season.

West Coast will host Port Adelaide on Good Friday at Optus Stadium. Fremantle heads to the nation’s capital to face the flying Giants fresh off their historic victory at Geelong on Saturday.
