Some people welcome change and see it as an opportunity to pursue another pathway.

But for many of us, change is not welcomed with such opened arms. The last 2 years have been full of unwelcomed change, that for the most part hasn’t felt like it’s for the better.

Marny Lishman, Channel 9’s Resident Psychologist, joined Mike to talk about the Fear of The Unknown. Presenting as anxious and worried about the future, FOTU depicts the anxiety of not knowing what is going to happen next and the uncomfortable feelings that go along with it. Whether job loss, relationship breakdown, sickness or financial hit change is inevitable. It’s something we need to learn to get comfortable with and  can often be a gift that we didn’t think we needed.

“What happens with the human brain, if we don’t use our experience to predict the future (if it’s kind of all over the place), we actually go to the worst case scenario in our head and then unnecessarily distress ourselves out even in more.”
