If you fancy yourself as a bit of a singer then listen up. Because there is a thousand-voice choir coming to Perth Concert Hall in June 2023, and you can be a part of it.

Musical director and producer, Martin Meader, joined Bec and Jeziel to tell us more. The Perth Born to Sing choirs are organising a 1000-voice choir to perform at the Perth Concert Hall in June 2023. This is a non-audition choir and an exciting concept that will inspire the local community, school choirs, local choirs and anyone who wants to experience the amazing sound of 1000 voices singing together.

The concert will include a 250-piece ukulele orchestra with the 1000-voice choir being accompanied by a 7-piece band made up of experienced WAAPA Graduates. Part proceeds will go to the Cancer Council. They already have 700 singers registered so far and expect to fill 1000 by Christmas. Singers will receive sheet music and vocal guide tracks to help them learn the repertoire before rehearsals begin in April 2023
