This October, Disney in Concert: A Dream is a Wish, will have it’s Australian premiere at the Riverside Theatre at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Amy Manford and Genevieve McCarthy, from MM Creative Productions, joined Kirste and Dan on Brekky to have a chat about the show. MM Creative Productions is the first female led production company entrusted by Disney to bring this magical show to Australia.

The West Australian Symphony Orchestra will be performing famous scores from all your favourite Disney films. Plus a nine metre LED screen will be playing the original footage on stage. “It’s going to be a treat for all the senses. Something in there for everyone.” As hard core Disney fans, Amy and Genevieve are excited to be performing songs from their childhood. “Amy is a gorgeous classical singer so we’ve given her the classical Disney songs like Cinderella. I pick up the more contemporary end of Disney so: Frozen, Moana.

They will be returning to Sydney for Phantom of the Opera (Which has unfortunately been postponed to next year) so have continued their rehearsals over zoom. “We’re going to be doing ballet in front of our computers and singing Phantom of the Opera. Our poor neighbours.”
