Finishing just below the $300,000 hurdle, Day Four of 98five’s Vote for Hope June Appeal Week was another day of the 98five family witnessing the generosity of listeners and the greater need in our community for everyone to hear a message of hope.
In light of another tragic world event unfolding as dawn broke in Perth, 98five switched on the mics to once again reassure WA there is a greater love and a hopeful message we need your help to spread in the midst of the pain, sadness and loneliness happening around the world.
As usual, Brekky with Kirste and Morro began the June Appeal Week shenanigans with a plan — matching clothes for matching hour! (Everyone was impressed with the level of planning this took…for them: they spoke to each other outside of Brekky hours to coordinate outfits).
98five is a listener-supported station with more than half of operational costs covered by generous supporters. This year 98five needs $405,000 to continue to broadcast our positive message of hope throughout WA.
Listener Hannah and daughter Isobel (who was a little camera shy) were very kind to drop by the Studio and drop off caffeine support.
While Kirste was very eco-friendly and reused the coffee cups during her Day Four Appeal analysis breakdown.
98five friend from our sister station in Melbourne Kenneth created this listener testimony video of why 98five listener Brian donated to June Appeal 2016.
The Lunch Wrap media team let loose with their head of department off sick. The last seconds are a must-watch.
And Drive with Jeziel and Tyson didn’t really tighten things up all that much. For every $40 donation, Tyson was covered with a 98five ‘Vote for Hope’ sticker. Jeziel looks like he’s having way too much fun removing them.
