The last two days The Brekky Team have really got into the crux of their trip to Nepal for Miracles Day. These were the most draining, emotional, heartbreaking and yet inspirational days of the trip.

Kirste, Corey and Morro along with Sam Butler spent some time with the locals who were going in for cataract removal surgery. They sat with them while they nervously waited outside the operating theatre. Then sat in during the surgeries and later on got to watch when their eye patches were removed. The Brekky Team got to witness these people seeing properly for the first time in years, in some cases, for the first time ever!

Be a Miracle Maker, give the gift of sight here!

Here’s a glimpse into what these days looked like.

If you aren’t familiar with CBM’s Miracles Day, it’s very simple. Unfortunately in less-developed countries, a simple surgery like a cataracts eye operation is not as affordable or accessible as it is here in Australia. For just $33 you can give someone sight-saving surgery. On average, this operation takes just 12 minutes but changes the person’s life.
